The President of Taiwan says she will not yield to repression

Taiwan's President, Tsai Ing-wen, has vowed not to be suppressed after her recent trip to the United States, where she met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Kevin McCarthy. The visit caused anger in China, but Tsai stated that she received strong support from the leaders of Guatemala and Belize during her stay in those countries, as well as in her meeting with a group of Democratic and Republican lawmakers in Los Angeles. The Taiwanese President highlighted the support shown for Taiwan's determination to protect freedom and democracy.
